Mayhem Add Broadcaster/Front Office Vet

Macon, GA – Today the Macon Mayhem of the Southern Professional Hockey League are proud to announce they have hired a new team Broadcaster in Jonathan Kliment.


"Macon has a beautiful arena, an illustrious history and a ton of opportunity. I am excited to get going and embrace the opportunity to work in a market with such a wealth of history and a fanbase that is so passionate. Every person from ownership to staff to players to fans I have had the chance to speak with are committed to the team and I look forward to being a part of that." Kliment said.


Kliment brings a wealth of experience to the new organization. After three seasons with the FPHL's Elmira Enforcers, Jon served as the Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting for the SPHL's Vermilion County Bobcats. The last year Jon has been in Baton Rouge aiding with a new pro hockey team coming back to that market. Kliment graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s from Full Sail University in Sports Management and Marketing after completing American Broadcasting School. Jon spent four years as a broadcaster for SUNY Broome and Binghamton University’s hockey programs before servingas a Color Analyst for the CWHL’s Boston Blades while he participated in an internship with the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in Media Relations.


In addition to his on-air role, which will be for all games both home and road giving Macon coverage whenever the Mayhem take the ice next season, Kliment will also be working in a Sales role with the organization as well helping out with Corporate partnerships immediately.


“With over 20 years in Hockey, Jon comes to us with the exact experience the Mayhem needs in the front office to continue to grow. In his short time with us already, he has thoughts and ideas that we are excited to watch him execute. He is the exact energy we needed to join the Mayhem. We are happy to welcome Jon to the Mayhem family.” General Manager Anna Marie Summers told media members.


The Mayhem complete their 2022-2023 campaign Friday and Saturday in Fayetteville, NC. Season tickets for 2023-2024 will be on sale soon. Keep an eye on the Mayhem social media pages and their website at www.maconmayhem.com.
