Macon, GEORGIA– The Macon Mayhem of the Southern Professional Hockey League are pleased to announce their protected list for the 2023-2024 season.
The Mayhem have protected: Forward Garrett Hallford, Forward Jake Goldowski, Forward Aaron Aragon, Forward Branden Makara, Forward Rhett Kingston, Forward CJ Hayes, Forward Tommy Munichiello, Defenseman Sacha Roy, Defenseman Jamie Dorsey, Defenseman Tim Faulkner, Defenseman Adam Eby, Defenseman Reid Yochim, and Goaltender Nicholas Latinovich.
Each SPHL team is permitted to protect a maximum of thirteen (13) players who are under contract at the end of each season. Each of these players are now protected for the next calendar year. All other players will be allowed to sign a training camp tryout after August 1st.
Coach Nick Niedert spoke on the protected list “This season’s protected list is very exciting. 12 of our 13 players have ECHL experience this year. Our core group will bring a strong presence to Macon and sets us up for a strong regular season.”
